Happy New Year! Yes we are a little late with this, apologies. We took some time out on Alpha Tutorial but are back in action now and will be moving forward with some great new things in 2012. We record the first show of 2012 later this week if not even this afternoon. With our new studio it should be a great year with more regular updates.

Sony A77 Teardown

Recently Sony posted on their blog, a video of the Sony A77 in it’s torn down state looking at all it’s parts and how it works. If you have not yet watched the video at the top I would suggest you do to. You can also see the Sony blog post here.

Sony Launches XQD Memory Cards

This week is the Consumer Electronics show in Vegas and it has a tie in with the PMA (Photo Marketing Association) show as well. One of the early announcements to come out was that of Sony’s XQD Memory Cards which is a new card standard that has been developed by several manufactures to accommodate the increase file sizes of video and stills cameras. Plastic Wrap Translucent Mirror

Now we are not going to suggest that you do this but we did spot a story of a person’s A55 mirror getting damaging and of him using Plastic Wrap (also known as Cling Wrap) as a replacement. You can see the story here, but remember the old phrase used on many reality or stunt related television shows “Do Not Try This At Home”.
